On a high port, it sits under the intake manifold. It's quite large, one side is plastic, the other metal. It's got two ~3/4" tubes going to it that appear to be vacuum tubes, and a two terminal electrical connector.

We are trying to install a DET, and it was on the '94 de, and our '92 high port reference car, but the DET is not drilled and tapped to mount it.

We're confused. FSM is organized poorly. Help.

just connect the hoses and let it dangle or ziptie it to the manifold unless you want to drill and tap the manifold. on the det that part is mounted to a tranny bracket as i recall and is cut off many times when imported. you should be connecting it. or you could switch the lower halves of the manifolds.

That's the Idle Air Control Valve or IACV for short. It contains a thermal sensor which when cold brings the idle up, when it warms up it closes and is not used. I did not know this either until I looked in the FSM when I put in my turbo kit and had to relocate it myself. I found all this in my 97 FSM.

mine was already bolted onto the DET manifold? (u12 bluebird)... however my DE loom wouldnt quiet reach it, i unbolted it , swung it around, and did a cut and reconnect for the two hoses.. no prob

Actually it is the Air Regulator. The IACV is mounted on the side of the plenum and has no hoses going to or from it.
