i have been watching alot of different videos on youtube and i seen a video of where a japanese company injected the chassis with prothane..they use this process because they didnt want to have a roll cage in the car.
has anyone done or heard about this?
i can definitly see the benifit given how stiff the prothane is.... it is definitly IMO a non reverseable method however if the right prothane was used in the application i could see how it would be a non reverseable application but a useable application none the less.

I doubt they were using urethane in any form. It would not work in the crevices, nor is it particularly stiff when you are talking about reinforcing a chassis with it.
Read the section called "Foam Filling the Chassis".

That is the material and methodology you want to use. Yes, it works very well if done correctly. Both Steve (98sr20ve) and Mike Kojima (Choaderboy2) have done this to vehicles with excellent results. Threads are included in that section to outline the process.

if it was an r32 or r33 and grey that was mike kojima. from an old episode of some show from speed channle.
it is the injection of structural expanding closed cell foam. and there is a massive amount of info on this exact subject on this forum. search chassis foam.
also....prothane is a company that uses "urethane"........if you were to inject urethane into the frame rails of a car you would be adding AAAAAALLLLLLLLOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT of weight.
