I have heard that this is a common problem for our SR20's, but no one ever says what the cause is. Here it goes:
When the car is cold or sometimes when it is warm and I start it up it runs awesome, but then if I shut it off again after it warms up and then start it again it feels really wierd. When I floor it it takes forever to go and it is really slow. It seems like it is running in limp mode and misfiringor something. I have no clue. I have heard it could be plug wires arching, my egr system, computer problem, fuel problem. I don't know where to start. If anyone has had this problem or knows someone who had this problem and fixed it please let me know. It is so frustrating when I want to give someone a ride or I am about to race someone and my car looks and feels like a sled. Thanks.

Hesitation is most likely coming from one of these places:

1)clogged EGR tube, malfunctioning EGR valve or BPT valve
2)Poorly Grounded MAF sensor
3)leak behind the MAF allowing un-metered air to enter intake
4)vacuum leak somewhere
5)O2 sensor acting up
6)plugs/wires are bad

Have fun checking, I have done it all and still can't find it. I am thinking O2 sensor as I have almost 160,000 on the original O2 sensor. That is the last thing I have to check/clean/replace.
