I've changed my fuel pump (just switched with my parts car) once, it's easy to get to, just take out the back seat (5min), then you'll see the cover, unscrew it (sometimes the screws are a bitch though), watch out for the super sharp edges on the cut out hole ( I cut the sh*t out of my wrist and hand ). The whole plastic holder (2 pieces) and the actual pump come right out. good luck

I just did this last weekend, so it's still fresh in my mind.
Just remember which hoses are hooked to the inlet/outlet lines. On my '93 SE-R, Nissan used worm clamps on hoses going in one direction, but pressure clamps going the other direction. It made it MUCH easier to hook back up, IMHO.
If that's not the case on your specific car, then just simply mark the hoses with numbers, and put the matching numbers where that hose attaches to. Or something like that.
One more thing: Get your gas tank below 1/4 of a tank before you do this. Mine was at 1/2, and well, let's just say I smelled of gas all day long. :D
Good luck.

I had a thread on this topic.
Here's a good instruction from one of the members here!

Do this, as I did:
1. Pull your fuel pump fuse, start car and run until it stalls.
2. Disconnect Negative wire on battery, and undo your gascap.
3. Remove wire harness from pump on top of the tank.
4. Remove that ring with the 6 or 8 bolts that hold it.
5. Disconnect fuel level unit from pump via the hoses.
6. (200SX way) pull the entire pinkish box out of the tank,
it will be tricky, but DOES come through that hole no
matter how odd it looks. There are metal tabs that hold
the box down in the tank, may have to slightly bend them.
7. Take fuel pump out and install the new one.
8. Assemble just the opposite!
Hope this helps!!
I completed mine without any conflication. Follow the steps above and your golden. Here's the thread (http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18521&highlight=fuel+pump) I started.

If you like to work on cars this will be a nice project. It's not that difficult but those bolts are just PITA.
