I was wondering, has anyone dynoed their car before and after removing their A/C? I was thinking of doing this. I figure that one less pulley sucking engine power might bump me up a bit in hp, but how much? Also, how much does all the A/C stuff weigh?

A lot! The bracket alone holding the compressor weighs like 10 pounds, more than the compressor itself. So much more room also! I just changed an alternator in mine at the side of the road in about 45 minutes because the compressor isn't there anymore and I could do the alternator from below.

Although the added space in the engine compartment and the small amount of weight lost (25-30 lbs) is cool, I don't believe that the AC compressor sucks down that much power. IIRC, it is a free spinning bearing when not under load. I removed mine on my old SE-R, and hated it. Summer in LA absolutely sucked, and my shirt was wet when getting to my destination, ugh. Besides that, I hated going out on dates with girls in a car with no AC, it was so ghetto.
If it's your race car, or you really don't care about AC, go ahead and do it for the weight savings. On my new SE-R, I left the A/C intact, and still laid down 380whp. :) Driving to AZ for the Convention was wonderful with my girl at my side, and cold air blasting out of the vents!
