My ECU is indicating that my Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Circuit is open. Does anyone know the location of this circuit? I know the VSS is located within the transaxle, but im not sure if the circuit is located in the same place. Has anybody dealt witht his problem before? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have my manual with me at work now but if I remember correctly it is behind the dash by the cable.

I don't think so. The speed sensor is one of the sensors that the ECU reads for its "calculations".

wolfcri,

If the speed sensor code you are getting is in your NX, then you will need to replace the speedometer, that is where the speed sensor ois located. Does the speedo still work???? if it doesn't then check the speedo cable. if it does then sorry man expensive speedo head replacement.

VSS is a sensor located below the drivers side fender well on the tranny..if you are getting a code.it needs to be replaced..

Brotha,

you may simply be getting that code because the tranny is not in the car....

or is this code coming from Scott's ride?

well, um... the engine isn't in the car yet either.

yup... this is for scotts car.

I can only imagine what the ecu would be saying in my car right now...

"What did you DO TO ME?? You cut my GENITALS OFF!!!"
