i was calling around for quotes and this person from KWC claimed I had to the get the newer style(lowport) since my car is a 94...
sounds like BS...

shipping a damn motor is more expensive than the motor itself... !@!!@$@#$...

also is there a write-up for a motor swap? I'd like to know how much is involved before we consider this..

any of you experts in Hawaii or planning on visiting? :D ....

that write up should be very helpful to you. i'm pretty sure u can swap the low port or high port in your car..it shouldn't matter i dont think. but remember...the low port's throttle body is located higher up right on the intake manifold..and the high port's is located on the maf i beleive. kinda opposite.

Another good website to look at for the swaps is www.HeavyThrottle.com They are mostly geared towards the Sylvia/240SX cars, but they also have some helpful info for the Sentra/200SX.

808SE-R,

I got my jdm motor and shipping all for under $400.00. My previous post with details is below. Good Luck! :)

"
Got my motor in today for $275.00 and $112.00 shipping from California to Omaha, Nebraska.

There are like 5 different SOKO companies listed on their website (3 in Cali), 1 in Chicago, and 1 in NJ...if I'm not mistaken.

I called them all and also got various prices on the sr20 engine, plus a wide variation in shipping charges. My engine took 1 week to get here, so that's pretty fast.

Call Soshin in South Gate, California. Ask for Hector and tell him Mike from Omaha sent you. You can get the motors for $275.00 from him, and his number is: Try this - (800)635-1619 (USA), and this number if you're in Cali - (800)543-2476 (CA).

I'll let you know how the install went once I find a mechanic.

For all that have done this...what needs to be swapped out and changed prior to dropping this in? Also, what's easiest, from the top or bottom?

Thanks and God Bless!
Mike
PS - how do I post a pic so I can post pics of the engine so you guys can see it?
PSS - Just called Hector and told him you guys were interested...so call up before they're all snapped up Trannies are $325...at least that's what he quoted me. "
