Heavy Siggggghhhhhh... and, I can't help myself. I've already made my peace with this site, and it had nothing to do with the change over. I've read every post on the change over, and guess what? The level of immaturity and blanket hate? One of the overwhelming reasons my enthusiam for this board has waned.

I don't agree or disagree with what Matt and etool have done... none of my business, even though I'm a contributor and have been here for a pretty long time. Seriously, I know that we're notoriously cheap bastards, but to behave like a knee-jerked hyper-active chipmunk on steriods? I'm not too surprised by some of the excitement, but the total lack of civility... astounds me. Gripe away, but gripe it righteously... don't foul your own nest.

Erich and Brian... you guys have always been hotheads, still love/respect you both, though. Jim and Bowlcut... deep breaths. All of you are probably right and I'll get to the point. This site will not be much of a money maker for etool, we drive old cars and have old friends for a reason... plus, we're cheap. Sadly, in order for them to make money, they will have to completely change the site and attract an entirely different breed of members. Thus, irrevocably changing sr20forum.com forever... for good or bad.

I apologize if I've offended anyone. I guess I'm just old... I try to write and behave as I would if I were talking to y'all in person. (Yes, I am an asshole in real life;). I've noticed that the generation or two behind me don't understand that and everyone has turned into e-thugs.

I'll check out the new site, say hello and then be on my merry way.

Why not just leave it the way it was and make it possible to enable it if they want. 90% of the members don't want it.

To Autoforums: Can you guys add some RSS feeds? I'd love to keep track of the Classifieds section (and classic SE-R and General SR20)... Another killer feature would be to allow trader ratings + single login for all of your properties!

Unfortunately the single logon won't work because it would require a merging of user accounts across all sites and I know that would not go over well ;)

However, you can subscribe to an RSS feed of any site you want, you simply need the forum ID of that particular forum.

This is the syntax for the feed:

I can actually add a small RSS icon to the forum index page to make it easier for anyone to grab the feeds but it does add images to the index page next to each forum and the impression I'm getting is that people would rather have it 'totally stripped down' rather then feature rich.

Im sure that even if you kept all your changes here, and just said Im sorry, and then reached out to the community by being the track sponsor and paying our track rental fee, a LOT of things would change.

I'm open to calm discussion about any and all topics. I can't do that with people who aren't willing to engage in the same.

We sponsor the SRT National Event every year, we assist with the 3/S National Event every year, so I'd be open to hearing more about helping out here as well.

Ok well that is good to know. The only things I dont like is that you are going around censoring out certain words, and banning long time members and actual personal friends of mine. I have met and know personally lots of people from here, so that doesnt make me happy. Im sure it doesnt make the others happy as well, and that why everyone gets pissed off. You are going around taking away ou old forum rights and banning our famly all over. I do believe that if you:

1. Lifted any bans you have made

2. Lifted/stop censoring out certain words, including even the other forum name

3. gave people their right to fully use the forum (IE Bring Edit back)

That people will calm down because they will have nothing to be pissed about anymore, except the new ads which its a pain i my ass, but they can be disabled. So what do you think? Are you truly willing to let the community as a whole come back and function with the changes that have been made?

I wanted to edit my last post but cant so Ill do it here.... by stopping censoring, even of the other fourm name, I dont mean it so people will "know where to go" because people already will no matter what. I mean that it is silly to censor out another forum, that would be like blocking floridasr20s.com or g20.net . Which are all competion.
