Ok..can the older B13 oil filter be used on the B14...

B13 filter number is 15208-53J02
B14 filter number is 15208-65F00

I have 4 of them sitting here, but dont know if I can use them..or maybe Ill find someone with a JDM swap and a hiport..would be the same right...?

They can not be used. The threads are ever so slightly different. And will cause the filter to possibly blow right off of the bracket and oil will flush out. Not a good thing.

that happened to me on my nx. the dipshits from the nissan dealer gave me two different filters. one for the low port, on for the high. unfortunately, i put the one for the low port on my NX and when i started it up. LIFTOFF!! the filter went flying. then my whole garage had oil in it.. soo, dad made a trip back in to town to buy even more mobil 1 synthetic, we put the RIGHT filter on after we noticed the two were different, and then it worked fine. i could have kicked some serious ass that day....

One has metric threads, teh other has standard. Don't you have any B13 friends near by?

There is no 10:1 lowport JDM motor. If the TB is down low, you have a high port. Get the B13 filter. The only low port motor to use the B13 filter is the '94. The best way to check is the B13 motors have a tube that sticks out past the threads where you screw the filter on, the B14 doesn't have this.

I know this is a thread about B13's and B14's, but don't forget the low-port G20 uses the B13 filter #15208-53J02 filter as well between '94 and '96. :D

My G20 knowledge is very low. Thank you for clearing this up. To add to this, the B15 SR20 uses the same filter as the B14.

:D J/K!

Yea, since the P10 G20's were still made over in Japan until I believe it was '97, they still had several of the high port parts, filters, etc. They were a mix-n-match of parts. Where the US version Nissan's got the total makeovers.

I always found that odd, but I think it had to do with California emissions on the Sentra's, 200SX's, Etc.

Considering I've never sat in a G20, I'm glad of what I know about them :)
