everytime i slide my sunroof back, it goes about an inch or so and stops with the motor still going. i have to give it a push to make it continue. it does this on the same spot when i try to close it as well. Anyone know what i can do? or has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it? thanks

hey, what would happen if it did get stuck? does our car have that little allen wrench thingy to manually close the sunroof?

Well mine will go all the way back but when you start to close it I have to give it a push.
I've found that if I stop it about a inch before it stops going back, it will operate without a problem.

If the problem persists, hit the weatherstrip and mechanicals with some graphite powder. that should help

Hardware store or most definately from a locksmith.

Regarding the same topic, I've used white lithium grease from a spray can with great results. Just be sure to clean the tracks thoroughly prior to its application. Applying vinyl/tire protectant to the rubber gasket helps reduce the friction which goes a long way to prevent the sunroof from sticking.

Yes, I have one of those. It came with the car. Mine's located in a wrench pouch in my trunk.

I had the same problem with mine. Every time it got stuck I gave it a little push just like everyone said until it stopped working completely and when this happens no amount of pushing will help it open or close. I found that out at the worst time, in Daytona beach at spring break. Your motor is wearing out, just replace it with a new one.
