Well, for those who care, here is the short of it. No need to go into great deal.

I paid ser_lover (Aaron Foster) for a gen 4 HS Header back on June 28th. After 2 weeks of waiting, I spoke with him on Sunday eve. (July 14) He told me he removed it from the car this past Saturday and he was going to ship it to me Monday. Great!

Well, it is now Thursday, the header was never shipped and is still on his car. :confused: Don't ask.

I spoke to him, his mother and another family member (??) today and will be getting my money back within a few days. Well, minus $10 (That's another story).

I have now been tainted and will never buy another item off of a list member again. This was not good business practice on a professional or personal level. I even went as far as backing him up on my last post.

Aaron, I do not know if this was just really bad timing for you or what, but it was not a great way to become acquainted with you. Maybe another time and another place, I will have another view of you. Just not now.

thats a real shame man, but at least your going to be getting your money back. I have seen a lot worse scamming people on other boards but it is a shame that it is starting to happen here. I have done lots of business with people on here and have luckily never been screwed. Try to look to do business with people that have brought and sold things successfully on here and are long term members, If something seems sketchy it probably is, people need to write all there experiences on the buyer seller ratings to give us all the inside...

sorry for your wasted time and slight losses.
i think you should still do business with others if you feel the need...if possible, only do business with those in traveling distance....at least then you can't get scammed through the mailing process....so much easier dealing face to face.

I will never purchase anything from anyone here again, unless they live within a reasonable distance from me and/or I've met them.

Don't feel too bad Nismo, I'm still out $600 - at least you're most likely getting your money back.

hey thats cool your getting your money back. i got ripped off recently from "speedsports" on ebay. i sent him my money order check and i never got my stuff. i filed a complaint with ebay and they are investigating right now. my pocket is $200 short and i dont have any springs.

Im sorry to hear about this Brandon, it just amazes me how some of the rotten apples on here are making it look bad for everyone who is trying to buy/sell. Fortuantely you are getting your money back, which is more then i can say for some of the people that have been scammed on here as of late. In the future, it would probably be better to deal with people that have a good repuation for buying/selling. Hope this all turns out ok dude.

FWIW, anytime you consider buying from someone be sure of the following:

1) The product is packed and ready to ship. 2) You have all the necessary contact information. 3) Before sending money call the numbers provided (work, home, cell etc) to be sure they are legit.

I've sold many items on this list. My policy is not to ship till I have $ in hand. However, I always put the buyer at ease by providing all my phone numbers and home address.

Those intending to rip off fellow forum members will get there due. It's only a matter of time.

See, I purchased stuff off of Greg Perry AKA SERprise in WV a few months ago and that transaction went smoothly. No prob's at all. So I did not ever think that this mishap would take place. :rolleyes:

I can definately understand where you are coming from Storm. I have followed your situation and can understand why you would not buy from another list member. $600 may not be alot to some people, but it is to me.

for the rest of you, I hope that others do not let this tarnish the many GOOD SELLERS reputation. It would be a utter shame if we cannot trust each other for purchases. Pretty soon, we wouldn't even be able to trust each other's advise, and that is a VERY depressing thought. I can offer a few tips for purchasers before buying from a member. So FWIW...

Try to research all the Nissan community sites as they all have Buyer/Seller Ratings Sections in the forums
Search for that username on this and other forums and see what their JOIN DATE is. (do you really want to buy from someone who just joined 2 or 3 days ago just to sell something?)
Read thru some of their posts and see what impression you get from them.
If the member name is different, contact the BB Moderators and/or owners and ask if they would do a "search by email address" in the Admin options. (Incase they use a diferent name for each BB they go to...which in itself could be a bit of a yellow caution flag)
If you can get their real name, do a google search on them and see what comes up. You might be suprized what you find.


I hope this helps and maybe gives some insight or ideas that may not have been thought about before.

I think is so funny how ppl make judgement on what they dont know the whole sorry about. Yes I agree I should have had the header off of the car befor I sold it. I have sold many items on here and not had a problem until now. I was in the way of moving and didnt have any place that I could take the headers off at since I know live in a apartment. Second I took the car to a muffer shop and l left it there for a whole weekend but the guys daughter was in a car wreck so he didnt take it off. Third, I had plans of taking the header off monday and was going to ship it out that day but my damn timing chain broke and now my motor is down and the car is stuck in a damn parking lot.

For those that think I am some kind of troll can go to hell. Like I said this is the first time I have had any problem selling or buying on here. Second, trolls dont hand out both parents phone numbers and there home and cell numbers. Third, Trolls dont sent there money back.

Like I said I know I should have had them ready to go but I didnt and it cause a big mess and a bad first impression. Once again I am sorry for the bad transaction.

Last the 10 dollars came as a paypal charge so that Brandon could get delt sky miles so I had nothing to do with that.

Deleted due to wanting this whole deal to just be done with.

Only one statement to make:

One bad transaction will ruin it even if you had 20 other good transactions in the past.
