I think insurance will replace it IF you have full coverage insurance on your car. My neighbor had a cracked windshield, and he had to shell out $150 to get it replaced.

Also, if your windshield is damaged when you purchase your car, they will not insure your windshield, until you replace it.

I work for Progressive Insurance and our rule is that the deductible is waived as long as you have Comprehensive coverage.

hey whiteser, do you get the hookup on insurance coverage? In other words, do you get discounts for working at progressive?

yeah kinda...they just send us to another company and we get a discount with them for being Progressive employees.

shit...i didnt even think about that....well its not my everyday ride yet, still needs alot of body werk to be done first, but the windshield concerns me the most right now.

it wasnt as bad as it is now when i first got the clunker....but i had my friend in the car and he said something about it looking different, so i lightly....barely....finger tapped near the crack........and the line grew longer.

so yah, i need to get this taken care of, i was gonna replace the clicking axle first but from what ive heard, our cars were blessed with pretty strong axles so ill wait.

anybody know if an aftermarket company makes windshields for nissans??? with the prices ive heard i doubt you guys are getting them replaced with an OEM one from nissan. so any info would help....a phone number would be awesome.

its actually true and the guys that can set this up for you usually have booths at like car washes inspecting peoples car and offering this to them .
but it really is true!
me an my girl bought a new car this year and a month later driving on i4 a truck hit some rock small rock but it hit our windshield and cracked it later that week we were at the car wash and they approached us.
basically they set an appointment up to come replace the glass or repair it
and you fill out this insurance claim but you get no surcharge through the insurance company
requirement is that you have full coverage!
they fixed it in our driveway like two days later
end of story
