ok, the Cobra MAF from JWT is $325, and you have the get the $125 subtractor prog to make it work, thats $450 to have a working cobra maf. the z32TT MAF is $175 from Andreas Miko and you don't get charged the $125 from JWT to run 4Bar on it. what do you have to do to the ttz maf to make it work? rewire it or something? it seems like JWT would sell these instead of the cobra ones?

Yah, you rewire it.

Again somebody correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the only difference between the TTZ maf, and yours, is that the Z has 2 ground wires and yours should only have 1 ground wire.

I think you just have to ground the 2 ground wires on the Z maf to the same place.

I really dont think anyone can compete with Dre as far as price goes for the TTZ Mafs.

I thought you only had to get the subtractor program if you went over a certain HP level?

so all you have to do is re-wire the new MAF into the stock harness? Thats it....or is there some reprogramming to do? I have a Pulsar Gti-R but i still dont like the 50mm stock MAF....very restrictive.
I know that with Fords (dont kill me) you can change out the MAF in say a taurus to the one from a stang IF the sampling tube for the hot wire and the larger hole in the stang MAF have the same ratio or increase in the same ratio as the ratio in the taurus MAF. I am assuming that would work for the SR20.

Did that make any sense to anyone, am i mis-informed or talking shit?

The ECU needs recalibrated when using a non-stock MAF sensor. If you have a JWT ECU and are using a sensor that they are used to (TTZ, Cobra, bored DE sensor, 'R sensor), it's a simple matter. If you're using a blackbox (e.g. A'PEXi Super-AFC) for fuel control in addition to a stock ECU, many of those allow for changes, too. Don't knock the 'R MAF sensor; it's quite a bit bigger than the stock DE sensor, and is good for over 300 WHP before topping out.

back in 94 RC engineering bored my TB and my Stock maf 4mm bigger and there was no JW ecu back then and there was no problems except for me winning races.

Here is what my $175 includes 300zx MAF, Pig tail harness and shipping. So when you guys buy these MAFs from TwinTurbo.Net do not foget to ask the guys there to cut off the pig tail off their cars, they will not. What you need to do is call Nissan and find out what the pigtail harness sells for you might be suprized by the price. Here is what you are getting from me a quality working part with everything you need and you know I will deliver.
