i just bought a 95 200sx se-r and for some reason the brakes seem spongy - the car has new front pads and i checked brake fluid - the pedal goes way down toward floor - anyone have ideas - could it be air in the lines? any ideas would be appreciated - thks ron

Yes bleed the brakes.
Air in brake lines will give a spongy pedal.

Lots of air in the lines. That's what my brakes felt like after I bled them.

Do the cheap things first: Give it a good bleed.

If that doesn't do it, perhaps master cylinder (that's not so cheap)

If the above fixes dont work, try some new brake lines. Get some SS lines. The stock ones may be flexing (expanding) too much, and thus causing "spongy" pedal feel. Get new stock ones or the stainless ones, they increased my pedal feel 10 fold.

Bleed them, I had the exact same thing happen, so I changed the brake pads and bled the brakes then put in some castrol synthetic brake fluid, vast improvement with the brake pedal!:D
