O.K. a while back I was having some issues getting the Apexi Rev Speed Meter installed on my 99 SEL due to Apexi not having a wiring diagram for our cars, though today I have figured out the which wires go where, and I must say it's very nice.

1st, once you have the ECU out and you have a clear view of the harness you will notice a set of wires that split off from the main harness and head to the steering column.
Now this is the set you want to use.
From the Rev Speed Meter harness the Red wire will have to be spliced into the thick Black wire w/ a Red Stripe. This will be your Ignition Power.
Then the Yellow wire from the Apexi RSM will have to be spliced into a Blue w/ Orange striped wire. This willl be your Tach.
Now the Black wire from the Apexi RSM will goto another Black wire, pretty much anyone of them will do. This is your Ground.
Finally the Purple wire from the Apexi RSM will goto the Purple w/ Red striped wire, and this will be your Speedometer.
Now just reconect the main harness back to the ECU, and conect the Apexi RSM harness to the unit itself.
Oh yeah be sure to disconnect the battery first so you dont cause a short anywhere.
That's it.
Here is a link (http://www.apexi-usa.com/meters_revspeedmeter.asp) to RSM in case anyone is curious as to what this is.:D :D

Good job. Where did you install it? On the dashboard somewhere?

Sorry it took me so long to reply though I mounted the meter using a radio shack cell phone holder that attaches to the windshield.. I simply turned the cell phone holder sideways and it does the job, not to mention I did not have to put any holes in my dash.. as far as the cost the meter was about 200 and the G-sensor was another 50 if I were to do it again I would have simply purchased a Blitz Power meter.
