My 97 200SX SE-R is near the end of the project with the BB swap. But.....
I have a couple of questions:
1. When the clutch is pushed in the pedal doesnt pop back up even though it appears that the clutch cable is installed properly
2. The passenger side half-shaft is leakin from the seal slowly. It seems as if I cant push the brass ring where it mates flush with the half-shaft rubber seal. Which part of the brass ring faces out towards the passenger side, the dome shaped part or the lip?
3. What is the torque spec on the wheel hub nut?
4. How does the BB top-mount(the flat pipe) fit with the A/C line in the way?
thnx for all the help.

The seal is made on the shaft, not the ring.

chuck, just out of curiosity, did you change the rod bearings? a friend of mine is looking at a BB, and we were discussing the difficulty of changing them, and how many people had gotten away with leaving them alone.

Im bumping this for Nismo200. Im helping him do the BB install. We have found that the clutch is not engaging... we found this out by putting the car in gear and then I pulled back on the clutch lever on the transmission to engage the clutch.... and at the same time we tried pushing the car and the car would not move so it must not be engaging the clutch. We think that its the clips that hold the throw out bearing to the fork, they are very weak and dont seem too hold well. Question: Does anyone know if there are better clips availible, maybe aftermarket, or from another car? Thanks.

1. Adjust the cable so that its tighter?
2. Get a new axle seal. Its no more than $10.
3. Torque specs for hubnuts are 187-210 lb/ft, if I remember correctly. Its an ungodly amount to do without impact tools.
