Hey guys. I was looking at Random tech catalytic converters. I was wondering..do these do anything for performance? If so, about how much? thanks!

They are really not needed, as the SE-R's come with a large cat. They are more for the turbo squad. They are also exensive as hell. A Catco one will cost you $60 and it just needs to be welded in.

Alright thanks. I was just wondering because I heard it will help your exhaust a lot, and add power to the gain you get from the header. I'm not sure if any of this is true, you know how it goes when it comes to car advice...just thought I would get the word up..

Yeah, i believe just the other day in a similar post someone brought up that the stock cat is 2.5" inside. This would make a high flow cat no different than stock really.

Ya, im running a high flow cat, but thats because my old one went bad. may as well go high flow if you have to replace it, but if its not bad, i would spend the $$$$ on something else.
