want a buzzy exhaust? buy any shitty rice muffler, and replace your cat with a test pipe, that should do it nicely

Do what? Even though QUiKSR20 was kiddin' I agree with him. Go buy a Honda Civic HF with a bomb exhaust and put a APC windshield sticker on it as well.

Weld a kazoo to the end of your pipe. Believe me this will work!!! I know this because I am an airplane mechanic and thats what we use!

I have a buzz sounding exhasut that consist of 2.5 in mandral bent piping, no cat and a Apexi NA N1 muffler. Gotta say that the car is loud all the time and I hate it for that but when its time to do some speed testing all I can say is I love that shit. I guess you can say it's a love hate relationship with my exhaust.

I have the ghetto modded hole before the muffler sound going on right now, thanks to a deer carcass that I ran over with my NX2000 that managed to punch a hole in my exhaust pipe (with its antlers?).. Anyways.

In an attempt to un-derail this trainwreck of a thread:

I'm planning on fixing this by building a whole new 2.5" catback exhaust. Since I can weld, and have built an exhaust system before, I'm gonna do it myself. The only trouble is I don't know what kind of muffler to get. Looking for something that will fit well and reasonably cheap (incase I scrap it in a year for a 3" along with a turbo). As long as it doesn't sound like what our friend here is looking for (airplane noises), I'll be happy. It's going on my daily driver/weekend racer. The last exhaust I built was a for a friends 95 SE-R, using a dynomax super-turbo. It was OK, but I'd like to hear about alternatives.

BTW: How long until I can start my own threads?

Thanks,

wow! another nxer from vancity! good to see you on the forum bloot...

check in w/ zola. they distribute generic performance exhausts to almost all the tuning garages in vancouver. (eg. garage five, next level, a&j, rev)...they're located by the keg on #5 rd. in richmond...i forgot the address...

i got one on my car w/ 2.25 piping, no resonator, w/ cat.
no droning while crusing on the highway, and a deep sound in low gears.
