Hi guys, remember me from and older topic on which I was explaining that I had problems running mid 14s?

I think I've found the problem. When removing my carpet inside car, I had to remove a kind of plastic stopper under the gas pedal.

After that, when I stepped on the gas pedal, the car was pulling much more.

I think that with the stopper the trottle plate wasn't opening completely, hence hurting my times. Here they are:

14.214 @ 100.22
14.160 @ 101.80
14.458 @ 97.61
14.193 @ 100.89
14.139 @ 98.68

60ft were all near 2.37

One thing that I'm curious about is that the mph in my best ET is quite low...

What could have caused this?

That MPH is huge! Lower that 60' and you'll hit 13s no problem. What boost are you running?

Tighten your throttle cable a bit. You somewhat did it by removing the stopper. With the car off, intake off, have a friend push the pedal to the floor, and see if the throttle plate is open all the way. If not, tighten the cable a bit. Make sure it closes fully when no pressure is on the pedal. My $.02.

MPH is lower because you have not been moving for as long.If you were timed for another couple of 1/10s then your speed would be higher.
To get low times and high MPH you need a lot more power.I;ve done 12.7secs in my gtir but at only 106mph,whereas there was another gtir there with a lot more power doing similar times-12.5s but at 112mph.

hey man what kind of tires are you using ? i am not trying to be a smart***! but,2.2-2.4 60foots are common in this forum? i am not sure if its the track, tires, clutch, and or the driver but i usually cut 2.0-2.1 on regular street tires and 1.7-1.85's on nitto drags.... maybe if you guys are not using these you might wanna try them out? the really hook up very well...also what kind of clutchs are you using and what temp is the weather you are racing in? just trying to help not insult!

You'll want to make sure your TPS is seeing full voltage when you floor it. I can't remember the spec though...

Thanks for your comments everybody.

The voltage at WOT is 4V, but the problem is knowing the voltage! I saw a procedure on se-r.net, but it seems a little bit long to me!

My tires are Bridgestone Potenza (nearly dead). Clutch is double ceramic (6 pucks) and the temperature is 22 celsius.
