Yo new to the forum......I have a Nissan Pulsar Autech from Japan. The car has an Autech tuned SR20DE with forged pistons with a compression of 11:1. I am weighing my oprions between turbo and NOS. Nos is the current option because its cheaper right now and it doesnt put wear on my engine unless I flip the switch. What setup should I run for maybe a 50shot?

at 11:1 compression I would be al little warry of nos and boost without a well planned out tune to keep that thing from, ehhh, how to do say it, "kablamoo!!"

^^ You are right about a turbo setup. I wouldnt bother unless I KNEW I was gonna keep the boost down around 10lbs. Nitrous loves compression.

Ok I did additional research on the engine and it is actually 11.5 : 1 what nos shot would you recommend? Do I still need additional tuning? Another question is if I decide to do decide to go boost after going internal and all do I need to change the ecu or aftermarket management systems would be goood enough.

that high of a compression + boost = bad idea bye bye motor

that high of a compression + 75 or under shot of nos = quick

Im running

JDM 10-1 motor
sr16ve Pistons with DE arms
BC stage 3 cams
BC Titium Springs and Retainers
JWT Cam Gears
Stock Injectors
Nismo Fuel Pressure Regulator
Stock Ecu with a safc
JGY 4 Peice Undersdrive Pullys
JGY 8lb flywheel
JGY 6 Puck Clutch
CS Solid Shifter bracket
B&M Short shifter
prothane motor mounts
sr16ve N1 Transmission
JDM Intake Manafold
SSAC 2.5 inch Header
2.5 inch Crush Bent exhaust
zex 75 wetshot kit
Cheap Pop charger filter

I had Pulsar GTI-R ITB intake Manafold but i did not like the Loss in Low end power.

My car is Completely untuned, i do has a SAFC but theres no changes made, i hooked up a Wideband to check my Air Fuel with the zex on and im still running rich. its a fun daily driver but if you want something really quick go with a simple t25 det kit. cheap and quick, my se-r has a precision sc52 t3/t4 on a de-t motor with a list of mods bigger then this one but im going bigger on it..

the only thing i think ill do to this car is work out a cheap way to raise the rev limit up to 9k then ill take it to a dyno and tune the hell out of it

interestingly enough - what sort of power gain did you see using the gtir - tb's?
