Hello guys and gals,
We need volunteers for this Saturdays Rumble in the Desert II at firebird. I am trying to get some people to help out with the event as the volunteer list has fallen short. THIS EVENT IS FOR ALL CAR CLUBS
http://yourclubs.caliberweb.com/
I am calling out anyone to come out and race, spectate or volunteer in this event to help support the cause to stop street racing.
We need people approx at 7-8 am at firebird to help out with the event.
Yourclubs.net has set this event up which will include drag racing, show, and grudge matches for racing. Chrysler will be out there to show their support as well.
HELP OUT IF YOU CAN, LOOKING FOR THE AZ CHAPTER TO PITCH IN IF POSSIBLE AND HELP REPRESENT WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT.
I WILL BE THERE AS WELL AS A FEW OTHER MEMBERS OF DODGETRUCKSXTREME TO HELP OUT WITH THIS EVENT.
CALL ME AT 480 296 8584 FOR MORE INFO OR SIMPLY REPLY ON HERE.

Damn, kinda short notice...
Would have been better to announce this a few weeks ago. I know for a fact that some shops from El Paso would have attended.

Sorry, I would have loved to give notice, but there was a club that volunteered like 40 people and only 4 have comitted. :squint:
There are going to be many events coming up from yourclubs in Phoenix. I think they are planning on a total of 12 this year.
Volunteers get a shirt. LOL..Sorry, Im not the organizer of this, but I am going to be coordinating the volunteers for this event. It should be a good one. Since this was such a short notice, I will try to post up more info on the next one earlier so you guys can come out. You can do grudge matches which cost 100 per person. You get 3 runs, first two heads up and then the third bracketed. You can talk shit all you want. Just keep it off the streets. The winner gets a plaque for winning and the pride of knowing not only was his car slower, but you are a better driver as well.
There some cool shit planned out for future events. I have committed to helping out where I can with my Truck Clubs and maybe even my NOVA club. I have been on here for a while and I am thinking about picking up another sr powered car. Hope you guys show up to spec, race, or volunteer.

I hear ya meng :)
Well next time there's an event, be sure to let me know. I'll re-post the information on the El Paso forums, and Las Cruces forums, to get more people from my neck of the woods to attend. We have some guys that generally head out to firebird every once in a while. Not sure if they will when our track is finished, but we'll see.

Allright guys. The event was a HUGE success. We are hoping to have another one in March that will be headlined by my truck club. We had mostly chrysler cars come out because people didnt know this was for all sorts of cars. We had SRT 8s that were running 10s and srt10s that were pushing 9s. Overall, a great turn out.
I am hoping we can get the sr20 crowd out here. We will be hopefully planning for a road course for next event if insurance permits. You guys can get your drag on or 3 wheel action on the road corses if it wall works as planned.
We are waiting on the final numbers of racers and spectators, but it was a blast. I will DEFINITELY let you guys know as soon as we can get something together for the next event. I will have some pics up by mid week to show ya guys what we had.
Thanks. KOz
