Thanks

There are dozens of vaccum hoses on a DET, be more specific.

Mostly the ones that connect to the air intake/manifold area. Are there any that don't matter that can be done away with? My boost is kinda funny-hits hard then is all over the place from there.
Pictures would be helpful as i am thinking about redoing my intake portion of the system.
Thanks

1 - On the U just after the intercooler, you have a couple of vaccum there. A 1/4" line goes to the wastegate (which is on the turbo itself).
2- On the U, you have a 1/2" hose that goes to the right and down the trottle body. When you look straight at your trottle body, you should see it!
3- A 1/4" hose starts from the top of the BOV (bypass valve, always in the U) and connects on the firewall side of the intake manifold, just between cylinder 1 and 2.
4- The 1" hose that starts from the BOV goes in the intake piping, between the turbo and the air filter.
5- A 1" hose goes from the valve cover (near the distributor) to the intake piping, beside the BOV recirculation hose.
6- At the same height that the BOV vaccum, but between cylinderes 4 and 3 this time, a hose connects to another metal hose on the firewall, a power steering thing.
7- A 1/8" hose goes from the FPR (Fuel pressure regulator: at the right of the fuel line, just after the injector #1) and connects to a fitting on the right side of the Trottle Body.
8- There's another fitting under the trottle body (elbow style) approx 1/8". A hose connects from there to the charcoal canister (cylinder under the brake oil tank)
I think this is it.

Is #5 critical to have revented to the intake? I have a filter on it so it vents to the atmosphere to avoid clogging up the system with the slugde that usually gets in there from this.
Another thing i'm wondering about is i have the recirculating valve vented to the intake right after the maf. Is this too close to the maf-when i shift i can hear the valve venting air ( which should be normal...right?)?
Thanks

No #5 is not critical, a little cone filter is ok.
I use the stock intake piping, so yes the revent is near the MAF, but it's ok, it's better than let it vent to the atmosphere, because the ECU would put more fuel.
