Cylinder heads aren't capable of being 'bored out'. The actual cylinders are what you overbore. When you do that, then you must replace the pistons with pistons that match the larger cylinder diameter.

The cylinder head can be ported (sharp edges smoothed for better airflow) and polished (doesn't do much, really).

Check out www.howstuffworks.com for a good lesson on how an engine works, if you don't understand what I just said.

A 'stroker' kit basically increases the length of the connecting rods (and some include larger diameter pistons) to increase the displacement of the engine.

This is VERY involved stuff, and not a do-it-yourself mod. Stroker kits are also notoriously expensive.

Start low and slow (like headers, Pop filter, etc.) and work your way up from there. You need to learn how an engine does what it does, before you jump into stuff like this. JMHO.

FYI, stroker kits for our motors run upwards of $4,000 - $5,000. I believe I remember Andreas Miko saying he could do one also but not sure of the price.

I dont know how much you can get out of a stroker kit, but do you really want to spend $5000+ for it? With the same money, you can build youself a low 12 second turbo car...if not already in the 11s.

no i don't want turbo, cause if I had a stroker kit and I was
running 12's or 11's I would be happy cause when people
pop open your hood they can't tell you runnin 12's,thay will
easily say yes to a friendly race.Cause when I beat the shit
out of them,I'll say I,m stock just intake and exhaust.Turbo is becoming as common as a cold and when they see your intercooler, the smart one's won't race you.And when its all
said and done they gonna say DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!THATS SENTRA
RUNNIN LIKE A BITCH

No offence. But do you swear like that all the time? You need to settle down.
Talk to Andreas Miko if you are serious, he got a sr20"ve" to like 250-280 hp. SO i assume you might be able to pull 200-220 hp out of a sr20de.. BUt on the other side you could have 400+hp with the same amount of cash going turbo and if you want the the sleeper look get a air to water setup, instead of the front mount intercooler. And dont pop your hood for anyone, until they race you:D :D

Well in all actuality a stroker kit would be nice.. but i have heard nobody does the tuning for them... I dont think JWT has a program for it .. that i know of, correct me if i am wrong....
in other words you would be trailblazing...shit if some 1 did do a ECU program for this you can rest assured i would have one of the first sr22de-t's out there hahaha.... but i doubt anyone will ever bother tuning them because as previously stated its just to damn expensive when you can get into the 11s by other cheaper effective methods.....

i know what you mean about trying to stay sleeper and nobody know what yo have under the hood.... just go turbo, dont pop your hood and say hey .. its just a sentra c'mon.. its practically a family car and make sure you put a child seat in the back and a "Baby On Board" sticker on the window.... maybe a couple Soccer Mom stickers on the bumper.. nobody will ever know you are runnin 12s or better....:D :D :D ;)

I believe the answer that I got from JUN in Japan last year was around 30-40hp.

yeah, there is no way i would ever pay 5k just to get 30-40 extra hp. if you really want to stay all motor, head over to the ve section.

actually a stroker kit will have shorter connecting rods to accommodate the larger crankshaft.
