I've been having problems with the shifter. I have to wrestle with it to get it through the gears. I *think* I have it narrowed down to two possible culprits: the shift linkage or the shift fork. Has anybody ever replaced the shift fork? Is it a difficult job? How much is the part? How much is the shift linkage? If anybody else has had these problems (after bottoming out right in the middle of the car...) please post your experiences/fixes. Thanks.

i dont think you would have to drop the tranny unless you bent the holy *** out of it,, its not to hard.. you will have to remove the exhaust and the heatshield that goes below the shifter and trhe link end.... as far as the tranny side.... that also is just a simple link... as far as pricing if its too high you might want to hit up the junk yards.. just be sure its not bent also...

Hey Bob,
i can tell you right now to have the $tealer replace that fork its gonna cost 600bucks..mine broke on a business trip so i had my company pay for that (thank god). That part is the release lever 18 bucks only and to replace it..you have to drop the tranny.
Most people just have it welded. I did have shifting problems after they replaced it. All i did was adjust the clutch cable tighter. Apparently, it was disengaging enough when you pressed down on the clutch.
by the way how's the Fmax??
