Hey. Someone on here was buying a HP Racing Header. I can not find the thread in the search.

Did you ever buy it?
What was the quality?
Did you get a chance to dyno it for some numbers?
Did it fit well?
Etc.

Just wondering what the outcome was. Is this a good alternative to the Pacesetter header?

Whats up Brandon, i know which header your talking about, however as far as I know it has never been dynoed, or at least the #'s have never been posted. OBX makes a header for our cars too for like 190 bucks. Same scenario though. Does anyone have either of these headers and are they any good...if so, where are the #'s to back them up. I hope you can find some #'s, but im thinking that neither of them will make any more power then the pacesetter. If they did, im sure we would hear about it.

Let me sum up the scandal... :D

HP awhile back, made some BS Announcement about their SR20, and other Honda headers being Carb Legal.

If you do a search on the Forum For "Carb Legal Header" you should be able to find my old loooong post.

However. To sum it up. I was quite happy to hear this, being in a location were Smog Nazi's lynch you. So HP tried to get a "Group Buy Together". So thus I set out to gather information on them to grab people into the buy.. The information was pretty wack and was not consistant.

Mistake One.. Claiming they had more HP gain than HOTSHOT.
- When they told me this i raised the BS flag.. told them to fax me over a Dyno on a SR20 Equipped car. Well after days of promises, I've yet to see one. This was about 5-6 months ago I'm guessing.

Mistake Two:
Claiming they had Carb Legal Headers when they were not..
- Raised another flag when I asked for the EO Number to scan the Cali DMV Database. "Um yeah will fax it on over with the dyno"..
 Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

I can go on and on, but I will tell you everything they told me was incorrect. So even if these headers make mad gains, which i doubt they do. I would not even support their company and buy em. The factor they have a warehouse full of headers collecting dust is another reason to not go with them.

just my 2 Cents

Thanks Sub_Function!

That pretty much sums it up. I would still be interested in seeing the actual hp gains from them. Doesn't sound like that'll be happening anytime soon!

I try to stay away from reading SCC mag., nut didn't they do a comparo with the HP header along with like 5-6 others? I think they did with dyno result, but I have no mag to back this up.
