I paid 8400 for mine from a dealer. It had 39k miles on it, with smoke smell and cigarette burns all over the interior. Thankfully not on the dash, just upholstry. My car still smells like a dead persons ass....at any rate, I would think that sounds good for the car. Probably will turn out close to my price once you add tax, tag, title, and dealer fee.

to me that sounds kind of high. try to talk him down. what kind of dealership is it?

**Crono1321:
have you tried Febreeze? It should work to get the ass smell out.

I'm looking into getting a red 95 for about $2500... it has 140k on it, but engines are cheap... I just need a cheap reliable daily driver...

$7900 seems like an alright price for a 200sx with low K. My car is a 1998 with 82K and it was 7,500(US).. I bought it privately. The black book value for a 97 (like the car you are looking to buy) is 5,201.00(US) which means that the dealership only payed that much to the previous owner. The same website that I found that book value on says that dealerships would be selling the car for about $7,011(US).... If you want to take a look at the website, the address is:
http://www.edmunds.com/used/1997/nissan/200sx/2drsecoupe/prices.html

It depends on how much the car is in demand though, and it seems like they are extremely rare finds in the US. That may be why the dealership has a higher price than this quote. Anyway, I hope this helped you out a little bit.
