has any one turbocharged the new spec v or the new se-r?

Do a search...
It's basically been decided that Spec V's are best suited for all motor duty... The QR25DE has an open block like Honda engines and would need some extensive work to be boost-able. I'm not sure about Supercharged(Area51 Fabrication has one designed)... I'm sure to an extent with low boost.
The QR would do really well with different valve springs, etc and a higher Redline...

I have a kit available for the QR25DE in the 5 spd and 6 spd.. no Auto kit yet. It's set up for 8psi with a T3/T04E turbo and custom manifold. It utilizes the Greddy Emanage or Electromotive TEC III if you want to spend the extra money.. The QR is not so bad... You just have to let it break in for about 5K miles before you start pushing it.. Get in touch with me man.. You are close by I think..

i read somewhere that JWT blew one up at 275WHP. It was somewhere on nissan forums.com. If its correct, they say to keep the power around 220WHP and you would be OK. Again, i dont know how true this is. Anyone?

with i/h/e, pulleys, cams, cam gears, timing, and new valve springs, retainers, etc., and a higher rev limit(maybe if JWT did an ecu), you should be able to attain about 220 hp all motor....
The QR resonds to little upgrades very well... look at the difference between the normal SE-R and the Spec V... only the exhaust... and that equals ~10 hp and 5ft lbs...
I can't wait to get my hands on one so I can test out what it's capable of.

Unfortunately, the QR won't be able to rev much more than about 6800 rpm. The rod stroke ratio won't allow it. Sidewall loading goes through the roof as the rpms climb. That's the dillema that this new engine faces. I've heard something about a QR20DE in japan.. I would be interested in seeing if the internals from that will go into the QR25..

i believe this was nitrous...
might be able to handle boost a bit better.

Boost is boost. Doesn't matter if it's a turbo or a supercharger, but either one, putting out the same PSI at the same crank RPM, is going to do the same damage to the engine. Nitrous Oxide seems to be even more damaging than boost, but I can't really back that up with anecdotal evidence. Trav's kit sounds neat. Under 10PSI, it should be a lot of fun and pretty safe, assuming the fuel system is up to task. I'd personally want to use a smaller turbo, but he's the one making kits, not me. :) I keep hearing this rumor about a 275 HP, N2O-powered QR25DE. I am all but certain that this was started on B15Sentra.net, conscerning the way GM tested the Ecotec engine. Not JWT, not Nissan, not a QR25DE. Read my lips: there is no difference between the SE-R and Spec-V exhaust systems. The part numbers are the same, and there are no unique pieces. The 10 CHP appears to come directly from ECU tuning, and chassis dyno testing seems to indicate that there is an even broader difference than that.
