Well it finally happened, someone attempted to break into my car... They broke the passenger side window, and tried to steal my cd player. Freakin Rookies, the alarm scared them away and they ditched the face plate on the drivers side floor. They got away with NOTHING. I had a case of cd's on my back seat, and a couple of disks on the passenger seat. They left it all. So now im stuck with a window bill. I guess i was lucky nothing was stolen. Still if i find out who, whoa, i dont know what i would do. So now its 4:42 in the morning and i am finally going to bed. Hope i can sleep....

That's called insurance fraud. You can go to jail for that sort of thing.

Sorry to hear that. I dont think anyone would break into my car. I have a 4 year old Sony TAPE DECK :) ...with a 10 disc changer under the seat ;) The perfect disguise...who in their right mind would steal a tape deck? :D

un fortunetly my car got broken inot at work the like a few weeks ago, they were amatuers they did so much damage doing it, the security at my job sux ass, they took a screw driver and handle to my door handle mess up the door and tore the dash apart, took my deck and broek the glove box to get the cd face which was locked up, so they never knew it was inthe car for sure and took a risk, seems they started to go for the door speakers but someone must have seen them because the passanger door was left wide open, they also stole my armani cologne(full bottle 2nd time ive had ti stolen full =/ ) and 2 empty bottles of cologne that were in the middle console, the idiots left a brand new momo shift knob(retail approx $90 on it) sitting there loose and took the 2 empty bottles how dumb can u be. well the body work cost about 550 not including paint so i just had the whole car painted would have been cheaper if they just broke the window =/ but my car looks nicer now has a nicer deck and a nice alarm the nx wont be broken into again, if it is i swear ill hunt them down.(i also believe it was someone from the autobody shop at my work one of these days someone will spill the beans and they will get their asses kicked)

Damn, I got a story thats even funnier! Last week, my buddy's '97 Altima got broken into. They broke the lock on the passenger door with a screw driver and turned it open. They tried to steal the head unit but couldn't get to the screws. So, they stole all the change out of the ash-tray. They opened the trunk from the inside and stole his cheap $100 amp. Now here's whats funny. The amp was bolted onto a box with 12" Kicker subs, and they took their time unbolting the amp instead of taking the whole thing. They left the box in the car. On top of that, they stole the speaker wires (yes, the ones that sell for $1 per foot) and the CD book, but left the 12 disc cd changer, which was held on by a velcro, untouched! These were the dumbest crooks I have ever seen!

that most likely wont be the person that stole them. they probably stole the shit to sell it, seeing as there are so many civics out there. best thing to do if u want to find them is by word of mouth on where u can get stolen car parts from. Those theives probably arent gonna travel far to sell them either. i dont know , but hey its just my opinion

oh and also, about a good majority of theives who steal radios and parts stuff are still in high school. if you know anybody in your town who still is in high school i would have that person ask around. you never know. i mean at my high school i knew a couple of people just by them bragging about stealing radios. If u do find a connection and u know that you've found ur parts u should then get the cops involved, even that they might not care, but egh, its worth a shot

BTW, my friend recently moved to Pheonix because of his job. He wants me to find out for him where the cruisin' spots are at, as far as imports and muscle cars, since he owns a trans am, but he does love watching turbo imports.

All I have for you is two words:

Satellite Tracking.

A guy over here in Australia got a call on his mobile, telling him that his car was moving, but the satellite tracker was still armed. He was only across the road from his car (In his office at work) so he grabbed a 44" Louisiville slugger and found two guys with his car on jacks, trying to remove the mag wheels. Because they raised one end and not the other, the car alarm thought it was being towed.

The guy was charged with assault causing grevious bodily harm, but because it was considered a "provoked" attack, he was only given community service and a good behaviour bond.

Anyway, it's worth the $200 a year or so for back to base monitoring.

Damn, you must have the same brain-dead dumb-a$$ theives that broke into my car over Memorial Day Weekend. They popped out the driver's side rear vent window, left the CD's, stereo, and all the other valuables and only stole a bottle of Eddie Bauer cologne(which was practically empty:rolleyes: ).

Where can I get this? That seems like it would be the best theft insurance I could buy.

Being in Australia, I can't really help you, but I did find this link for vehicle tracking in general. Some of them are for GPS and fleet maintenance purposes, but there are a couple anti-theft trackers in there:

I had my car broken into the weekend of July 4th with the same deal of a screw driver prying at the door handles, except as they worked on the passenger side they f**ked it up too much and then went to the driver's side and got in there. $1200 later the shop did redo the pinstipes real nice and an old zigzag key scratch was removed. My comprehensive covered it so I was mildly happy.

I didn't have any cologne sitting around though, so they took everything else. mp3 head unit, sub box, amp... comprehensive didn't cover that.

- I gotta remember to keep some cologne in the center console, ( but it might blow up in the summer heat (?) ). I will get a better alarm installed this wednessday. The car security sales guy didn't mention the cologne trick. :p
