My p10 is in really good shape. 5mt, black with black rims and dark windows. Body is in excellent shape. Developed a bad rod knock today. Seriously thinking about a det swap. Either that or selling it as is. What do you guys think...swap in a det or sell it as is? Ive never owned a boosted car...just how much am i missing out on? Ive got the cash to do the swap or buy something else

Dude, do the swap. Boost is so sweet. I never got to drive a boosted car either, since I've been working for mazda, I've driven speed3's and speed6's. With a cai and exhaust WOOOOSSShhh!!! the torque is so awesome.... DO IT, I'm in the process right now.

Nothing like ordering parts, getting the stuff and putting it together. Everytime you get a new part it's like christmas.

If you need to get an engine in there right away, get a healthy motor and tap the block for turbo oil return line and install it now. That way you have the block ready for turbo and you get your car on the road again quickly. Now you can take your time deciding/piecing together a turbo kit and getting things done right. If you decide to not go turbo, just drive around and leave the hole plugged. No worries.

There is VE too but that's a different story. ;)

a good running det can make u lose ur girl--:biggthump but it makes them giggle when u hit 18psi on a t28 and they cant reach the $100 bill thats on the pass side window

its realiable if its done right. with the right time and right parts it will last.
you just have to know about your motor problems or have a friend to help you out. boost is fun. really fun to me because you never see a 17 kid with a turbo'd sentra. you just have to know whats going on with your car.
