I have one, but it is from a UKSR20 powered car........ I'm not sure what car it came from, but we would have to get the UK boys to chime in and verify the tranny code to what car it came from........What will it be going into? The SR20 auto tranny's work a bit different than the manuals. They don't interchange as well.

I tell you what, I'll post pics of the tranny and the tranny code and we will see if it will work for you. I'll have to have some of my auto buddies chime in.

The auto tranny that will work all depends the type of auto tranny currently in the car.

The key to make it work is the kickdown cable. If your car has a kickdown on the tranny, you must replace with a tranny with a kickdown cable. If your car doesnt have a kickdown, your replacement tranny must not have a kickdown (all electronic).

If your tranny is all electronic, you can use an electronic tranny from a NX, G20 or Sentra. The trannys with kickdowns are harder to find, but are in some G20's & Sentras. Most European trannys haave kickdown cables.

Note: You can change the type of tranny installed but its alot harder. So if you had an all electronic tranny, and you replaced it with a kickdown tranny, you would also need to change the tranny ECU for the replacement kickdown tranny ECU and probably need to change the speed sensor. Messy...

^DC you need to go ahead and do a STICKY for the small number of SR auto guys........This is some really good info.

oojaysunoo DC had my old tranny and ran into problems bc I have a kickdown tranny instead of all electronic. Like DC said, if you switch one thing on the auto for tranny, you have to switch it all the way to the root. (ECU)

If you have a kickdown setup, then you should be able to use my tranny. It is all box up and ready to ship out. DC did the awesome package work on it.

^Post 14 is the tranny that is electronic.........Notice how it has a plug right below the motor mount.......This pic is not the best, but I'll see if this guy has some better ones to tell differences of the two........Our tranny's are different, so one of them will have to work.

The transmission that I have looks exactly like the UK one except that mine doesn't have the cable that runs on top of the tranny towards the bell housing. Also, the third harness plug on my tranny has a 7 pin connector --> the UK one has a 3 pin connector. What is that second cable for?

Then your tranny is all electronic (probably model RE4F03V). Send me your VIN number and I can lookup your Tranny for you... ;)

The cable on top near the bell housing is Kickdown cable that you don't have.

The tranny cables can be moved around for ease of connections. Thus, they are not in a fixed position and just clips into the holder any order desired.
The all electric tranny has Four (4) connectors as follows:

1. Inhibitor Switch #1 connection (Gray plug from selector box) - 7 small pins
- - P,R,D,2,1, Power and Ground (Replaceable $70 new)
2. Inhibitor Switch (to Dropping Resistor on Strut tower) #2 connection (Gray plug from selector box) - 2 big pins (Replaceable $50 new)
3. Solenoid Switch connection (Brown Plug from round connector beside the Inhibitor) - 7 small pins
Solenoids: Line Pressure, Overun Clutch, Torque Converter Clutch, Shift Solenoid Valve A & B, A/T fluid temperature, Brake Clutch and OverDrive solenoid.
(Usually Requires a Tranny Shop for Repair/Adjustment unless you have the measurement tools & tranny skills)
4. Revolution (Speed) Sensor connector (Gray plug from other side of tranny) - 2 or 3 small pins (Replaceable $35 new)

BTW, the Tranny ECU gets input from multiple places: the Main ECU, A/T Throttle Position Switch - Open/Close, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) - for throttle position, Engine Coolant Temperature, A/T Power/Comfort Switch, OD switch, A/T Inhibitor switch, Speed Sensor, and A/T Fuid Temp Sensor. If any of these are not working or not properly set, it will effect your auto tranny performance.

Examples of possible fixes for tranny problems after doing some testing:
- Bad A/T Power/Comfort Switch: causes default power setting = bad gas mileage and power light comes on all the time. Car really runs strong though!!
- Car wont shift into some gears or shifts after winding out: sometimes caused by a bad Inhibitor switch OR broken/bent Inhibitor linkage parts
- Car wont go into Overdrive or Passing Gear: possible Bad OD switch OR if you changed the main ECU lately, the replacement is incompatible; especially on 1993 models. Incompatible ECUs can also cause REAL hard shifting (due to incompatible communications between Main & Tranny ECUs)..

Following the FSM, perform the following test:
1. Do the A/T Self test
2. Test the Inhibitor Switch in all positions
3. Test the Dropping Resistor
4. Perform individual Solenoid Pin test on the Solenoid plug (on the transmission)
. . Start with the clutch solenoids as they usually die first..

Our Auto Trannies are weak.. Ive been researching newer 6 speed auto trannies as a replacement. But, matching the communications between the Tranny ECU and the Main ECU is very difficult and not working. Thats why everyone swaps to a Manual Tranny, as these problems dont exists..
