Well my car is leaking. From what I can see it's coming from the oil pan. I'm guessing when I tried to remove the pan a few weeks back, I punctured part of the seal. Now my question is, do I need a new gasket, or should I drain it, and put some permagasket on it? I've checked everywhere else under the car and this is the only spot that I've noticed. Hopefully this is the MAIN reason why my car has been eating oil. TIA

Pull it off, be careful not to bend it. Then go to your closest HONDA dealer and buy some HONDABOND. Clean both mating surfaces of the oil pan. Apply HondaBond to BOTH surfaces as shown in the FSM. ANd you will have no leaks.

The heck is Hondabond? Any generic red or gray RTV is what is recommended by Nissan per the FSM, particularly gray. I've used both with great results. Try and get the aerosol RTV that you merely press a lever or bend the nozzle and it comes out like easy cheeze. That stuff ROCKS. :)

are you sure its not your crank seal matt? i would check that and also the oil pressure switch as those tend to go bad on nissans alot. just rule those out it could be the oil pan also giving you some pointers ;)

Well she's all fixed. Sat overnight, and no leaks. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Camppain, from the looks of it you have the same vehicles that I want. Although I have a 200sx. I'd love to have a FWD DET, and a RWD DET.:D
