I am going to be hopefully running a gti-r t28 on my fresh jdm de with some bc stage 2 cams. My question is how much boost do you think it will take to make 270 to the wheels??
thanks
btw i am running a jwt ecu tunned for 370cc's@4bar and a bored (54mm) se-r maf.

Ummmmmm 12PSI or so. Maybe a little less, but probably around there.

Thats about what I was thinking maybe 10psi. The reason I say 10 is because with my t25 @12psi w/s3's I was making close to 260, so I think 10 will easily make 270 with the cams. Atleast I hope so:tongue:
The bc stage 2's should make significantly more power then s3's. There actually very similar to jwt c1's spec's

Well I know MarkSR20 was making 247.9WHP on a T28 running the stock 9psi, with JWT S4's.The cams make a WORLD of difference. Depending on the other mods, I'd guess around 12 psi also.

holy cow, elevation must make a huge diff. I scored 290whp on my t28 sentra with a bluebird det. JWT computer, cold air intake, 2.5" exhaust. I was running like 17-19psi. I upgraded to a gt2860rs and run about the same boost. I haven't dynod it since upping the boost but at 11psi it did 270whp with the disco.

^^^ keep in mind he is running a DE and not a DET. They get a little better results as far as hp numbers per lb of boost.

Noted, the higher cr would net like 10-20whp on 10-11psi. So with a decent tune it should nail 270whp on 10psi.

took me 12 psi to hit 270 on a gti-r block with z32 pistons which if im correct brings the compression even lower.
id imagine 10 psi would do it for you no problem

Well I am not going to be running a t28 at first, but I am still shooting for 270 out of my t25. I am thinking its going to take about 15psi on that to get 270. I won't be running that much boost all the time just at the track with some 110 octane. 10psi for daily duties should put me around 230, which is plenty for the streets.
Thanks for all your input guys:biggthump

Damn what compression does that come out to?? 8.0:1?? That thing should handle A LOT of boost.

not sure, rather not blow it up so im just going to turn it up to 16 psi max for the track.
i wish i had a de-t like this kid, blow a block up and just throw in a new one like nothing instead of having to bore the engine over and get pistons
