Server was moved back to being hosted by yours truly at my work after about a year and a half of being hosted by sr20deboston and then the very unreliable vbulletinshosting.com company. I moved servers on Friday, forwarded the site which worked great, then changed the DNS info on networksolutions.com and at the DSL ISP. Well, the DSP ISP monkeyed it up and put the DNS info on the wrong DNS server from the one they told me, so http://64.146.50.250 was up all weekend, but not http://www.sr20deforum.com. The DNS admins don't work on the weekends so I was just able to get it all fixed today finally.

I apologize, but there was nothing I can do. Someone at the DSL ISP monkeyed the DNS and I had no power to do anything about it. :(

The forum is now located on Ben's server, and no longer at the place it was. The forum was down because the DSL company had the wrong DNS info...its not that hard to understand what he said, all you need to worry about is that it works now :)

Jesus man, are we picky or what? I've been working my ass off trying to dump the shitty hosting company and finally got them hosted MYSELF at my work and this is the FIRST real day of operation of the forums and you just decide to bitch?

Maybe I should have just left it where it was- relying on your donations so we could have downtime every other day. Now that it's COMPLETELY FREE and is going to have GREAT uptime because I as well as 4 other technical people on here have complete access to the server box, all you can do it complain that it's slow??? The server has a single PII or PIII-450 and has room to upgrade to dual PIII-1GHz processors. I'm going to see where the bottleneck(s) are and go from there. We are monitoring the performance all of today into tomorrow and see how it's doing. If it's CPU, we will upgrade. If it's bandwidth, then I'll up the service from 384k to 768k.

Sheesh, I've BEEN working on it and am CONSTANTLY working on it will CONTINUE to work on it. Is that not enough? Christ...

Heh, calm down ben, I love you for hosting the forum! :D I've been forced to look at nissanforums.com all weekend in order to pacify my craving for nissan.
