My friend wants to race at the strip for lobster dinner. He has a 2001 mazda miata with intake, header, exhaust. I have 92 SE-R w intake, header, exhaust, pulleys, ur flywheel, ss, and minor weight reduction (ie spare tire trunks sound deadener/ carpet). My best run was 15.5@ 89mph he has never run before. should I take the bet or does he pretty much have me beat?

i pulled on a new miata with my g20 which is a lot heavier than your sentra. all i had was intake, header, exhaust, timing advance and a grabby clutch on a 10:1. his car had basically the same mods.

i'd say do it whether u win or lose. if you guys are real friends, all you're losing is the price of gas, and $30 bucks on a lobster dinner, not the cheap one.

Get a good launch and dont even bother looking back. Getting it from the line is the key.

sounds good guys thanks for the replies. funny thing is he only bought the car because I took him for a ride in mine and it made him want something small and quick. I will post the outcome of the race may be a while though, its hard to get the same days off, we work 12 hour shifts.
