: Empty Bottle?

Forgive my ignorance... I am brand spanking new at this stuff:

-Besides the bottle being lighter, would there also be very low bottle pressure when you're running low?

-How long does 10 pounds last typically? I started spraying Friday and I can't believe that I'm running low already...

10 lb bottle lasts around 3 minutes of nitrous. As far as the bottle pressure.....more you use the lower the pressure gets (I believe, don't quote me on the this one ***).

no such thing as a dumb question ;)

yup, unless you've got a heater. the lower the volume of nitrous in the bottle, the lower the pressure (@ the same temp).

10lb bottle is roughly 3 minutes w/ a 5shot

you know, that makes sense physically.

PV=nRT

I keep forgetting about that little noodle of info.

So, if a 50 lasts about 3 minutes I bet a 100 lasts about 1/2 that.

not true you may be double a 50 to a 100 but the hole in the pill isn't doubling in area, what pill is a 50 shot then to a 100 shot and talk the area of that whole thing, and that is proportion to the nitrous use if i had the numbers i could figure it would, a 50 shot is .47 right ....whats a 100 shot then i will tell you how long the bottle will last i am saying about 2 min /.

Single Fogger Wet system HP ratings:
Don't forget that pv=nrt doesn't apply here, because it is under such high pressure that it becomes liquid. otherwise, halfway through your bottle your 50 shot would only be a 25 shot. Also, when we are talking about jet hole area, .046 is roughly twice as big as .037 becuase you have to use pi. Area = (pi)(r)(squared)

This is from NOS based on 35 psi fuel pressure:
N2O / Fuel

34/18 40HP

37/22 50HP

39/24 60HP

41/26 70HP

43/28 80HP

46/30 100HP

52/33 125HP

61/38 150HP (max for 1 nozzle)

Thanks, NOS tech dept.

I fill up a bottle on Tuesday and the first couple run feels strong as hell when the nitrous kids in and than the next day i spray, it didn't feel the same power i get as a full bottle does.

I think i need a bottle warmer

Hell yeah man :D
Do you have a pressure guage? Difference between like 800psi and 1000psi is night and day :)

good points, ya'll!

yeah, I definitely (definitely, yeah) need a bottle warmer... I'm hurtin' right now...

For my setup, the 100 is a .052" jet. 50 is a .036" jet.
