Someone was mentioning this to me.....doesnt sound right *** it defeats the purpose , but says even when the remote bottle opener you still have to open the bottle??! Eh?!? WTF...
Hence the REMOTE. Maybe I'm dumb.
P.S.
I'm tired and the screen is fuzzy sorry for incoherent post.

Theres two kinds of openers. The NOS opener is just a solenoid that you put right after the bottle. So you can "open" and "close" the bottle - really you just open and close the solenoid. Then you've got the NX opener, which replaces the handle, and has a motor in it that actually opens the valve on the bottle - same as you would w/ your hand. I'd recommend the NX opener, i really like it :D

Ahhhh gotcha. It seems like NX makes superior accessories(heater, opener). Thanks Jon

I agree - I have both an NX opener and warmer, and I'm very happy with both. Great quality, easy installation

Can the NX opener be used on the NOS bottle?

Not 100%, i'd call NX and/or NOS and ask. I'm pretty sure it will though.
