not a bad idea, now if we can just get him to make some more and ship them out ;)

LOL

It's not hard to do it by yourselves, just go to a local machinery shop, it's not hard at all, If you need measures and that stuff I can give you some detail about it.

1.5 inches diameter. Cold Roll Stainless Steel
3.5 inches overall length
Interior thread 3/8" x 1" (length of shifter)

I live in Mexico, I bet it's easier if you make your own

Any questions let me know, don't be afraid it's pretty easy.

Now I'm about machine one for my Spec V

This is the design that I want to use

there is decent money if you could make these man.. that second design mixed with the first would be great. Same height as the first but rounded along the top like the second...

You should cut your shifter down to the height of the leather and tap the shift stick for the new knob. Instant short shifter.

I'll take one, if the price is right.

How's $20, P/S? I'll bet you'll sell them all day and night, if you keep it simple and cheap. That fancy rainbow unit does nothing for me, personally.
If you ship one like you made, with a steel threaded insert, I'll hit the steel with a bit of gun barrel blue and call it a day.

to raise the shift boot just unhook the boot base and raise it over the still installed knob. wrap some tape around the base were you want to boot to be and it will stay there.

looks great, only thing i don't like about solid metal knobs is the extreme heat and cold.

a small rubber band works great. :biggthump

This may be a violation of some rule, so if it is, please let me know and I can edit my post, or you can just delete it.

www.chaoticgarage.com does custom shift knobs for pretty cheap.
