so i just put a set of JDM power folding mirrors on a (94)B13, but i cant see sh*t out of them, and they are adjusted all the way out. is the glass different from a LH drive car to a RH drive car? i looked into swaping the glass from my stock ones and/or from a 92, but the mounts for the glass are different. anyone run into this / have a fix?

welcome to using JDM mirrors on a USDM car.

do your mirrors fold out at the same speed or does the passenger mirror take longer to fold out?

to get the best angle i stop the passenger mirror right when the driver's mirror stops.

other than that you and i have two options...

1- deal with it, since my car is mostly for the track and car meets i think i'll do with this one.

2- remove the mirrors from the housings and then extract the mirrors themselves from the mountings, i think its some kind of epoxy. then reveres starting with re-epoxying the USDM mirrors into the JDM mountings and then place the USDM mirror/JDM mount combos back into the JDM folding mirror housings.

only thing is i've never done the second option so i dont know that it would work.

I don't think the second option will help. The mirror is different and the degree of movement is restricted by the motors.

Think about the point-of-view from the driver's seat. In a RHD car, the left mirror (our driver mirror) needs to only have a certain degree of freedom to be viewed from the right and vise-versa.

At some point, I might try to use some sort of adhesive instead of mounting the mirror onto the clips. This way, can jam as much as I need in there so that it's effectively mounted on a different plane than the OEM surface.
