Hey everyone, i'm new to the board and drive a 00 civic ex. I blew up the 2nd tranny in 38K miles last saturday and decided to pick up a S13 240sx to do a DET swap on. From what i read the 91-94 are the best to swap due to mechanical/financial reasons. I looked everywhere on autotrader/dallas morning news classifieds and came up empty. Does anyone know where i can find a S13 for under 3000ish? I wanted the SE coupe if possible cause i like the way it looks.

Call out to the shop and talk to Sammy. He might have some S13's for sale.

Called the shop and sammy wasn't in...I found a 93 base, no power anything at all, broken AC, hubcab wheels, rear disk brakes needs work. Probably dead battery/alternator/starter or something like that. 141K miles, champage 5 spd, good condition body/interior for 2050 out the door. Is this a good deal?

It's alright. I would call him back and try to get it for $1500 or less. That would even be better, since the car has so many things wrong with it.

Joseph this is ryan the guy with the type r. I was looking for a 240 forever and finally just bought a classic se-r. I picked it up for 850 bucks with only 77K on it but the motor is bad and has a dented fender. People just want to much for 240's and many of them are POS but people advertise them as being nice. Just email parker and he will tell you which ones on autotrader not to go look at(we went to look at just about every one on there). Just be prepared to wait a while to find a nice one. What im saying is just get an SE-R and turbo it, then you can break some more trannys.

thanks for the advice, i'd rather not get a classic though...don't really like the look. I think after a lot of though i'm gonna stay honda and just do a t4/t4 drag 3 GSR swap :D

BTW i got my car fixed monday and i broke the tranny sat night...not bad for a turn around time :D Gotta love the honda parts laying around everywhere for cheap

1300 is kinda steep for a car without a motor.
