Which one are you running? How well does it work? Complaints? Where'd you get it?

We need to finally install one in ours...

Cheapest one I could find less than 20 bucks. Don't care how it works, only there because it is required. I hate it and it is annoying, will eventually drop 8 bills to get a seat with head restraints. Local speed shop in Jersey.

There ya go answered all of you questions. Next question. :D

It needs to have a quick release though, I can't tell if that one does or not. Last year I rigged up a cheap net with the cam release from an old harness. This year I gave in and bought the Safety Solutions one.

15.17.9 Head Restraint – Side Impact
All vehicles must be outfitted with a right-side impact head restraint system. A seat with
a “bolster” to keep the head from moving to the right side in an impact is acceptable. A
side-impact head-net restraint system, such as the Racetech RTViperRP is also
acceptable. Note- all side-impact head-net restraint systems must have a quick-release
mechanism to aid the driver in case of a necessary egress via the passenger side. Does
not apply to formula cars or sports racers.

Check out that link. Scary. Of course, I wonder how tight his harness was...

That link you posted doesn't have a quick release. Plus, it's not long enough for our luxury car. I bought one and wasted $15...

I'm ordering this one tonight. I think the prices for these things are ridiculous.

Just use an old seat belt to extend it. Jeesh I thought Asian guys were supposed to be smart? You better let Martin take over this side of the race car maintenance. :)

Watch head in mirror in this video. My head didn't fall off and my neck wasn't even sore. And this was pre hans device.

Kevin not sure what seat you have.
I put one of these on my seat.
Passed tech with no problems
Installs with 2 bolts
And you can get it locally down on 288

The Kirkey bolt-on head restraints totally blocked my vision so I returned them and bought the net.

Much like what Wade just said, I've been in a few cars with Kirkey/Butler seats with those type of Right Side Head Restraints and it was quite claustrophobic and with a HANS I couldnt see a damn thing out the right side. Plus I'm running a Sparco EvoL which doesnt have a way for that to mount.

Never had taht problem with mine?
I guess it is not that important problem if all you can see to the right of center in your car is the air filter.
