I saw these on ebay, here check it out

I really don't think it would be a good idea but I thought I would ask the pros and see what they think. I actually thought it was rather funny :D EBAY (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1846544944)

This is the 3rd thread this week about this. You guys really need to use the http://www.sr20deforum.com/images/top_search.gif button before posting.

Trust your instincts. General rule: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. . .

Then again, maybe it's the next big thing. Who needs turbos/superchargers when an electric fan will do. It's amazing nobody thought of this sooner. All that R&D on turbos and really all that was needed was a nice bilge fan. I'm gonna rig a leaf blower up to my intake over the weekend. Then next weekend another one's going on the exhaust for scavenging!!

A week?? Nah I just checked, more like three consecutive days.

So that's the same thread 3 times in 3 days.

And no it does not work. Look in the Tech forum, thread title - "what do you guys think of this".

This thread was also in the general forum yesterday, but was apparently deleted.

By no means am I flaming on anyone's pursuit of knowledge but let me just say This fans blower which is a replica to the E-Ram (Electronic Supercarcher). Will not provide any gains for the SR20. The fan will help a little for Honda's and other cars. But from E-Rams own testing and a long debt about adding 1 PSI into your intake. The company released a small number of results and actually printed out a listing of Cars/Engines which have made no gains from the E-Ram or any other later model rips. This is a quote taken from the E-Ram Corp, you can find this on their site.

I believe this should very well sum up the whole topic.

[Staring Transaction]
Compatibility information NEW UPDATE (9/9/99):
After additional comprehensive testing, we have found that some engines do not respond to the added air-flow from the e-RAM.
The following engine sizes will not see substantial gains from the e-RAM:
All engines above 5.0 Liters [350 cu. in. engines require two e-RAMs mounted in parallel (separately) to get 4%-6% gains]
Also:
Concerning certain engines that have not responded to the added air-flow provided by the e-RAM in our tests:
Nissan Sentra SER (Nissan G20 2L engine)
Infinity G20 (Nissan G20 2L engine)
Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L (GM 2.4L engine)
Chevy Cavalier Z24 (GM 2.4L engine)
e-RACING has done extensive tests on various engine management systems on multiple vehicles from various automobile manufacturers and the vehicles mentioned above are the only engines that have not responded to the added air-flow provided by the e-RAM.
Our performance guarantee still stands for all fuel injected vehicles of any year, make, or model except for the vehicles mentioned above.

Nuff Said.

sorry about the multi thread subject. I just say it today and thought I would say something. I don't use the search button because everytime I have tried it has not worked. I didn't mean to get everyone all worked up.

Don't you read the messages posted to the forums? Works better than any search button.

you know, most Nissan people are nice all the time, they answer questions that I have and really give me good information. but the rest of you are so negative, and are like. Umm don't you look don't you read through the entire threads before even thinking about posting. You know i have a lot better stuff to do then sit around trying read through all of these. Next time I will take 3 hours sit down and read through the entire thing before asking. Once again I am SORRY.

Not taking sides..... but we all need to chill out. I know the SEARCH Button is a great feature and all. Along with the Forum Stickies and what not.

But we should not be rude or flame on someones mistake regardless how many times it's been posted. I'm sure he has learned a lesson. No need to push it on em anymore.

PLUR! LOL :p :D
