trance34 08-01-2002, 12:13 PM They don't really like street racing threads around here! Which is why I'm wondering why they closed your thread too! That was the perfect example of why NOT to street race!
For all who want to see the pics go over to B15sentra.net look under general discussion!

Steve
Because I don't want to look at them again
There bad!
dono200sx 08-01-2002, 12:34 PM They are completely disgusting, but they are the perfect reason for not street racing. I do feel bad for the people who lost their lives in the pics, though. Even though he shouldnt have been driving that fast on a highway.
CAMPPAIN 08-01-2002, 12:40 PM well see i didnt post the pics on here due to the graphic nature. i linked the site that they were on.
and yes it wasnt about street racing. it was a link to show people that do it the results that may happen.
this is the link for the topic on b15 maybe they wont edit this one out also since its a link to a link of the site.

Crono1321 08-01-2002, 01:01 PM Very depressing. I enjoy driving, but those things remind me what can, and does happen on the road. I got kind of upset with those people on b15sentra.net who were making fun of the guy, though. Can't people at least respect the dead? I am a 17 year old senior in highschool who is around #17 in his class, who will go on to become a successful person in whatever I do. I volunteer regularly. I also work 30-40 hours a week. I have also, on occasion, street raced. Does this make all my other activities/accomplishments moot? As it happens, most kids who die in street races or careless driving ARE in the top of their class, the football/soccer captain, etc. Does this make a person evil?

Yeah it's not cool at all, some people just don't get that death isn't a joke! They think that because it happend to someone else it's ok to say whatever they want!
Toolapcfan 08-01-2002, 01:49 PM I haven't seen a body that mangled in a long time. I wasn't prepared for that. I used to see some nasty stuff at www.bangedup.com but that one guy that hit the guard rail, my god, that's the worst I've seen in quite awhile. At least he didn't feel much of it, or you would hope so at least. I remember my dad telling me once that when he was in high school that a kid got killed racing his car and the parents wanted to make a statement so that their son's death wouldn't be in vain. The kid was decapitated, and the funeral home was given explicit instructions not to try and doctor up the neck wound and it was an open casket funeral, and every kid had to walk up and see. Consequences indeed. Now imagine if either of those two guys in that ferrari incident were someone you cared about? Would you want people to see them like that? Would you want people making jokes about that? I'm not saying anyone here is making jokes or that we're degrading them by looking at those pictures, I'm just saying that the people at the other forum were way out of line.
CAMPPAIN 08-01-2002, 01:57 PM agreed some people think that pictures like that are "cool" shall we say. kinda like the idiots you knew in hs that would say or do anything to get noticed or feel they were a part of something.
thse pictures are nasty and something not to be poked fun at.
that story of yours Toolapcfan is bad. just the thought of actually seeing someone i went to school with like that would scar my mental forever everytime i sat in a car.
this is why ive started wearing seat belts everytime isit in my car or anyone elses.
not to mention you dont get tickets or harrased by cops
Nissan240SX 08-01-2002, 02:06 PM The dead should not only be remembered but they should also be respected no matter how they died. The reason I say that so strongly is that My best friend and I had to hold one of our friends and watched him die on a highway due to a Drunk Driver. The only thing that saved my best friend and I was that we got stuck behind a Semi truck that was exiting of the ramp very slowly. Again just like Toolapcfan's dad told him our best friends casket was open. Granted the body wasn't decapitated but it got the point out to all those that drink and drive. Street Racing is not bad and its not good I also from time to time street Race. But when I go street racing the people that i am with are as careful as you can be and we are also on a Dead road no one around but the two cars that are racing. Well thats my 2 cents hope is helps some of you. Oh by the way I am only just 19 and have had 8 friends die do to other stupid drivers, Including one died due to to 16 yr olds street racing on a busy street. Live your life but also cherish yours and other peoples lives.
dono200sx 08-01-2002, 02:24 PM My older sister knew a guy in high school who was also racing. he tried to take a corner way to fast and wrapped himself around a telephone pole. My sister, as well as the rest of his friends were crushed. It was hard to see them all suffering like that.
I hate hearing about people racing down busy streets. I'm not trying to say absolutely all street racing is stupid. I just wish more people would atleast do what Nissan240SX does and do it on an empty road and make sure everyone is careful. That way no one innocent will get hurt. Sadly I would say the majority of people who street race dont that much consideration into the matter.
Also, it's not like tracks are expensive to go race at, or too terribly far away. Besides, if they love racing as much as they say they do, wouldn't it be worth the drive? ;) I can think of several tracks in the DFW area within an hours drive. Not to mention, there are emergency personnel at the track in the evert something bad happens. I saw a corvette kiss the guardrail at a track in Missourri last Friday. The crews were to him in under a minute.
I agree that the dead should be shown more respect than they were being shown. Even if they were hauling butt down a freeway and nailed a guardrail. It's not a laughing matter. I can imagine how much it must pain his family to see him dead in such a horrible condition. People need to place themselves in the family's postion and think of how they must feel. I bet their demeanor would be much different....
SmoothDaddyFig 08-01-2002, 03:43 PM Oh this topic!!...........
Heres my .02
I live for the streets and thats that. I'll race on the street but Im not one to ZIG ZAG thru traffic like an IDIOT!!!!!!
I'd rather die doing what I love then die cause some old ass lady ran a light.
Sr20 B12 08-01-2002, 03:58 PM These pic are very sad. Infact the most graphic I have seen. When I first saw it, the thing that came to my mind was "I would hate for my mother and family to find me like this. It would break her heart." And thats how most of us should look at things.
I must say that I am an avid viewer of street racing and love the rush but I have not once participated in any event mainly because my car isn't running as yet. When I go watching I itch for me to be on the line with everyone watching me go all out against another person, because that's what I live for. Fun.
But not all fun is right and not all fun ends in good fortune. I'm sure those two guys were having fun also until something went wrong and cost them their lives. I decided that I will not be doing so anymore from these pictures. Thank you CAMPPAIN for posting them and opening my eyes. I see this as a good warning to others who think differently and are stubborned in their ways.
