That car was a preproduction car, that was headed for the crusher. That's not someone's personal car. The article was to show how simple weight reduction can decrease your 1/4 times.

Ah. Thank you eric, that puts things into perspective. I read the whole article; somehow that magazine ended up on my kitchen table and it came across that someone actually had their own car chopped up.

Did you all actually think that article was serious?

It was the funniest thing I have seen in a magazine in a long time.

i think the topic should have been spec-v ricers not b15 ricers rember there are the few sr20de powered cars.

im tired of hearing the spec v boys cry about their damn cars :P

*edit*wait is that only one dognut on the rear?!

I thought I heard about this awhile back? They could have at least done it to a honda so that 1)Nissan 2)Sentra 3)Nissan owner's, didn't have to be the brunt of the joke. Oh well at least it served as fuel for the suffering egos of those unfortuante enough to own garbage produced by the blue oval. :D

That's a '00 or '01 SE, not a Spec V. I see 4 wheels on that car.

If that car hadn't been damned to the crusher, you'd have to say they spent a lot more than $500 to run a 14.7, taking a car worth about $20K and when they're done it's worth about $1K, spending $19K to run a 14.7 isn't too cost effective. :)

This was the gayest article in SCC I have ever read. Next thing you know those jokers will be strapping JATO rockets to a car.

LOL!

You couldn't possibly have taken that article seriously!

I think it's frikkin hilarious, and I wish I had the opportunity to do the same thing to a car. Best part is that they actually did 1/4 mile testing with that thing! :D
