NismoSER 08-01-2002, 11:46 AM This article is one reason I don't like to read SCC.
DenverSER 08-01-2002, 11:49 AM Dude that posted it on the mustang forum has a heck of a nice looking Honda hatch http://home.attbi.com/~ryanautry/10.jpg
Pretty darn stylish, IMHO
J
Shoes59 08-01-2002, 11:52 AM That's hilarious :D
SR20DEe 08-01-2002, 11:58 AM you know about us b15 ricers.. were everywhere..
eric96ser 08-01-2002, 12:56 PM That car was a preproduction car, that was headed for the crusher. That's not someone's personal car. The article was to show how simple weight reduction can decrease your 1/4 times.
NismoSER 08-01-2002, 12:57 PM Ah. Thank you eric, that puts things into perspective. I read the whole article; somehow that magazine ended up on my kitchen table and it came across that someone actually had their own car chopped up.

Yeah, thats a very clean hatch, I like it.
tommy 08-01-2002, 01:09 PM Did you all actually think that article was serious?
It was the funniest thing I have seen in a magazine in a long time.
CAMPPAIN 08-01-2002, 01:38 PM i think the topic should have been spec-v ricers not b15 ricers rember there are the few sr20de powered cars.
im tired of hearing the spec v boys cry about their damn cars :P
*edit*wait is that only one dognut on the rear?!
Toolapcfan 08-01-2002, 02:47 PM I thought I heard about this awhile back? They could have at least done it to a honda so that 1)Nissan 2)Sentra 3)Nissan owner's, didn't have to be the brunt of the joke. Oh well at least it served as fuel for the suffering egos of those unfortuante enough to own garbage produced by the blue oval. :D

That's a '00 or '01 SE, not a Spec V. I see 4 wheels on that car.
blairellis 08-01-2002, 02:55 PM well hey he ran a 14.7 if i remember from reading the artical about a month ago. Not too shabby :)

Yeah, but you spent more than $500. :D ;)

Yeah, but you spent more than $500. :D ;) Not yet. I still owe the credit card company. :) ;)
Toolapcfan 08-01-2002, 04:29 PM If that car hadn't been damned to the crusher, you'd have to say they spent a lot more than $500 to run a 14.7, taking a car worth about $20K and when they're done it's worth about $1K, spending $19K to run a 14.7 isn't too cost effective. :)
darren109 08-01-2002, 04:33 PM This was the gayest article in SCC I have ever read. Next thing you know those jokers will be strapping JATO rockets to a car.

LOL!
You couldn't possibly have taken that article seriously!
I think it's frikkin hilarious, and I wish I had the opportunity to do the same thing to a car. Best part is that they actually did 1/4 mile testing with that thing! :D
