How strong are the axles on the 91-94 S13s? Like, how much power can I have and not worry to much about snapping one. Also, which would be the best differential is best on a DET setup? Quaiffe VLSD? Lastly, what is the difference between a Viscous LSD and a Helical LSD (like what's in the Spec-V)?

The RWD axles are totally different than the FWD axles. You don't really have to worry about them until you get to the 550-600hp range.

Sweet. Are they expensive to replace? Difficult?

They are not hard to replace, and I don't know of anyone who's broken them yet. Hell Duy's 240 ran on the stock ones and was hitting 10.8's with them. Jun's silvia ran with some upgraded Skyline ones, so they are just too cool.

My neighbors axels have handle many 6000rpm launches with slicks. So my guess is that there pretty strong.

viscous differential: Fluid activated
Helical LSD: i believe is mechanical

this might help.

Very cool. It's amazing how simple they made it sound. Though, I am sure they left out much of the more technical parts to it. I didn't see anything on the Helical differential, unless that is the same as a Torsen. Am I missing something with it?

the quaiffe uses a helical i think, might check their page for info.

YA. That makes sense. Whatever it is sounds worth every penny.
