I read an article about nitrous and platinum spark plugs having a bad reaction when used together, anyone know anthing about this topic.

never use platium plugs with nitrous, when you use nitrious, you have to go with colder plugs.

Platnum plugs are no good for N20 and don't get the ZEX plugs either they are shit. I just used good old NGK plugs... heat range 6 or 7 depending on the size of the N20 shot.

i would go with ngk 7 or 8 heat rane with nirtous for safety

everyone says platinum plugs are bad but no one answered his question. I know that platinum plugs require less voltage to spark than copper plugs. Thats about it.

It is because the plat coating mixes with an oxidizer and there inability to fire fast enough @ a low enough heat range. That is just my opinion not a fact.

Would heat range 6 plug be cold enough for a 100 shot,Or should I stick with the for every 50 shot of nitrous go 1 range colder rule?

I would like more info about this.

because if something goes wrong and u run a lean condition you will bun the copper plug up before the piston. plat being a stronger material, wont burn up fast therefore creating engine damage.

Huh???

For the plug tip to melt, then detonation/pre-ignition = engine damage has already occured. No plug tip could be just as disastrous.

i have seen no proof of anyone doing any studies or anything with bad results using platinum plugs

it's the biggest word of mouth myth with cars there is
it's time for myth busters haha

Well we are using zex plugs and have had no faults, The car performs and dyno's the same numbers n/a, and on the spray has no problems, though we are only at a 50 shot. This ve puts down 210 whp n/a . Just our results, we also use them our turbo cars. I used to use ngk cold plugs and the car rand like crap and would not last long before it would start to misfire.
