Anyone in here ever use Whiteline suspension? They don't list any B13 application on their site but maybe they have different names over in Australia. The closest is U13 Bluebird. Does anyone know if the bluebird or pulsar or anything else is in fact the same as a North American market B13? Whiteline suspension is not too pricy considering what you get. Anyone in here try hotbits suspension?

The BlueBird is/was the old Altima.

Im from Aus, and Whiteline does have the NX (B13) and the pulsars (N14 and N15). The N14 pulsars (or sunnys) are very similar in design to the NX (as seen by the suspension parts being near exactly the same). Id assume that as B13 = N14, that B14=N15?

I've got Hot Bits coilovers on my NX2K rally car - these are adapted from their N14 race bits - custom valved for gravel - no adjustment (apart from height of course). They're 41mm inserts in a really heavy duty tube with 60mm main and tender springs (300/100 in front, 200/100 in the rear). I ordered them through a rally shop here in Canada (they're the North American distributor http://www.motorsport-dist.com ). I had to take a bunch of measurements and in the end used the N14 pieces as the base.

I am extremely happy with them. The car handles beautifully on gravel - with ideal turn in on lift throttle - no understeer problems at all. Lots of ground clearance. They take washboard, potholes and jumps no problem and they're very tough. In my last event I hit a piece of exposed bedrock with my left front wheel. Blew the Silverstone tire, dented the OEM Nissan rim, bent the tie rod badly, mashed the strut bearing and bent the strut top plate (the piece with the studs that attaches to the body) - the strut was unharmed. :eek:

There is another NX2000, a Neon, a Miata and a Focus all running Hot Bits rally pieces here in Canada (the Miata only does navigational events)

The whole set, 4 corners, complete with springs, no strut tops (I have to use the stock pieces for my class) - were around $2000 CDN. That's $1261 US. Compare to DMS (w/o springs) for twice the price.

The Sprongls (5 or 6 time CDN rally champions) are now retailing Hot Bits (together with Proflex, Ohlins and Dynamic) to their rally clients. See:

I'm not sure how the Street/Sport and Race stuff is, but if the rally stuff is any indication I would highly recommend Hot Bits.

I've been doing research into the Nissan Motorsports Europe Formula 2 N14 Pulsar GTi rally car.

I believe that B13=N14 and B14=N15 - at least I really hope so. If that's the case, then I should be able to fit a lot of parts designed for the F2 N14 Sunny/Pulsar onto my NX rally car.

The problem is finding them: strut tops, steering knuckles, tie rods, control arms, lateral links, spindles - this was a Group A car - so there should be alloy suspension parts available. Not to mention engine parts, a build manual etc.

There are at least a couple of these cars running in the Australian championship - if any of you Aussies should happen to run across any information, I would be grateful if you could pass it on to me.

P.S. does anyone know for sure if the gearboxes are the same? Quaiffe sells a five speed close ratio dog gear set for the N14 GTi - just wondering if it would fit.

Thanks

There is an australian company now making gearsets for the FWD SR20 box. They are a full dogring-engagement set with your choice of ratios, either straight cut or helical cut gears. They are wider than the regular gears from the elimination of the synchros and have larger teeth, in addition to being made from stronger material. I don't know the name of the company, but if you search in the turbo forum, you can find the info. ~$2200 US.

You are correct.
For anything except external body parts....
N14=B13
N15=B14
N16=B15

so the N14 Pulsar GTI suspension will work also? GTi-R works alos correct? is the GTi-R included in the N14 group?

PAR is doing the tranny parts, though I see from an anxious SE-R Cup guy that delivery is still hazy as to when.

Yeah, back from the dead :D

From all ive seen, the B13 NX is sorta like a N14.5, cause it has most of the good suspension setup of the N14, and most of the good brake setup of the N15. The bodys are completely different though.

GTiR is a RNN14 or something like that, i think its rear suspension is a bit different to the normal N14 pulsars, as its got the whole drivetrain back there. The fronts are the same, people usually take the coilovers or whatever is on the GTiR frontcuts and wack them onto their normal N14 pulsars.
