whats up,
went to epping, new england dragway on wednesday and snapped an axle.
my car made 300 whp at 7 psi. before i even hit the 60ft mark the car stopped moving. got the car home and foung that i snapped the passengers side axle. the snapped peice was in side the tranny and no damage was done. hope you enjoy the pictures and if you have any suggestions let me know.

Damn, I Sapped one to, but it was the driver side, i snapped the axle Due to wheel hop..now that I'm using slicks I don't worry that much about that and I'm launching at 6k rpm..

Where you using slicks or street tires?

stock tranny and street tires.
i ran the car last night about 4 times my best was a 14.3 at 107. i was taking it easy in the 8th mile.

were you wheel hoping like mad?

no not at all.
i just bought a set of slicks last night and im gonna go to the track next weekend.

lol sweet. time to break the tranny not just the axles.

i agree i was expecting to run quicker. i ran a 14.3 with my t25 set up.
because i broke the axle i was scared to beat on the car because i had to drive the car home that same day. first and second gear i was holding back.

I just ran 12.9 with my little t25 using slicks, 1.83 on the 60's launching at 6000 rpm..

That axle broke because of the wheel hop, there's no other explanation.. Good luck with the slicks and have fun, you'll run at least, 12's

like 15 psi of the little guy, boost spike at 17 psi..

Power? I don't, I've never dynoed my car, but it's got to be arround 250-260 whp, I think...maybe less, i don't really know

went to the track friday. made 3 passes at 7 psi with slicks. best run was my first run 13.0 at 110. after the first run traction was horrible do to track conditions and temperature.

Nice!! I'm glad to hear that everything went ok.. I went to the track this last friday too, I ran 12.85 and 12.87.. track wasn't in the best shape neither, but i ran ok. My best 60's ever, 1.82.. that's was nice..

How much air were u using on your slick tires?

i went back to the track last wed. i ran a 13.0 at 116 but i was spinning in first and second with slicks. too much power for the track. the temp. was like 35 degrees.

I'm using the little guy, a T25 turbo..370's @4bar, calum ECU, EVO VIII IC, act xtss clutch kit, prothanes, etc..16 psi of boost..

using M/T 22X8 50 r15 @ 9.5 psi..

Launching at 6000 rpm, shifting to second at 7500 rpm, third and fourth at 7000 rpm..

116 mph, for those speeds, you should be running 12's

I always ran 6-8 psi on MH 24.5" slicks hit a 1.77 60ft once it was the t25 8.2 1/8 mile at 86 or 87mph. I'd try running lower psi in the slicks.

im running like 10-15 psi.
on m&h slicks 23x8.5x15.
i launched from like 5000.
the problem is that i cant hold traction because i cant get the tires hot enough during the burn out and the track up here sux.
with slicks your t25 probably doesnt spin the tires in any gear at the track.
the other night i was spinning all the way thru the trap.
