How can you tell if the little knobs which attach the swaybar to the lower control arm are shot, or if it's the rubber bushings closer to the middle of the bar?

if not either of those, i still have a strange sound when decelling and I can feel the rattle/continuous popping in my gas pedal when I pop the clutch too quick and the car bucks a bit from first. I've replaced the motor mounts, I doubt it's the axel...I thought perhaps sway bar/sway bar knuclke things?

well if its loose it will move haha so check that, it shouldn't be able to move by hand i believe. Maybe the brakes?

See my post about the swaybar bushings- at $12.50 per side it would be worth your while to replace them, as mine "felt" fine, but were causing popping in the front end.

Good Luck...

alright, so i replaced the swaybar end link, and the rattling is less. i've torqued it down to proper specs, and it doesnt do it as loudly anymore, but still i can feel it popping a bit on left hand turns. i wonder if my cv is toast, but the rubber on them is 100%, and clamped. the sound is definatly coming from the drivers side where i replaced the endlink. I did notice while i was replacing the end link that the rubber lip on the swaybar to chassis point was torn a little bit. didnt look like it was split, just the outside lip a little bit.

thoughts?
