: O2 Sensor Thread/Tap Size??? Need Help Bad!

Anybody...somebody please help. I've searched the archives high and low for this information and it just doesn't seem to be anywhere.

- Does anyone know the thread size for an O2 sensor on a B13????

- And, does anyone know where to buy the tap????

I went to replace my sensor this afternoon. When I backed out the old sensor it's threads decided they would rather stay in. So until I find this info I am S-C-R-E-W-E-D screwed.

TIA,

brian

go to your local dealer, they SHOULD have a bung for it in stock. tapping this will not help, just hurt it. part number 20607-p6500

Maybe there's someone in your neck of the woods who would be nice enough to loan/help with a time-sert kit (or something similar). www.timesert.com
Good luck!

Good luck!

I'd still need to know the thread diameter and pitch ;)

Guess I'll be calling HS Monday morning since you monkeys don't know anything :D

FYI and for the archives, the thread diameter and pitch for the O2 (oxygen) sensor on a B13 is 18 x 1.5mm.

And, for what it's worth, I now own a $50 tap for this size. If anyone ever needs to borrow it, and I know you are trust worthy, I will loan it out for a fee much less than $50 + shipping. :D
