Is it possible to repair the material that the front spoiler is made of, I think it's polyurethane?

Mines broken and would like to fix it?

Thanks

welcome to the club. ive only ever seen ONE nx for sale without a broken front airdam. it can be repaired ***. have fun getting it off. if its bent out of shape or anything, get one of those hair dryers that gets super hot, heat the material up and bend it back into shape and hold it, when it cools itll be back into shape. i know that wasnt your question but might be a useful tip....

- as for the breaks...you can probly just use some body repair or some sort of bondo, will work just fine. to make it look clean you might wanna strip the paint off and do some sanding. but some good strong bondo should hold her up just fine. hope this helped...

I just sent mine to the bodyshop for repainting - they're going to sew the broken support piece to the main part of the spoiler. My parts car came with a spoiler which had been riveted with small strips of steel - didn't last too long though.

Yeah, I had my NX for 3 weeks (bought it brand new), was doing about 60 down a country highway at night, and a damn raccoon decide to sacrifice himself on my airdam! Broke the vertical support and cracked the driving light. I made him pay for it, though...he bounced at least twice on the chassis as I passed over him! Damn varmints!!!

I know I'm gonna regret saying this BUT I have 215,000 miles on my '92 NX and my front end is in perfect physical condition. Of course some paint chips and minor scratches but no cracks, holes, etc.

Keeping my fingers crossed,

Steve

Does anyone know a good glue to use on the front spoiler? One of the pillars next to the fog lamp is torn at the top. I've tried several glues but they all fail after about a month. Any ideas?

Mine is pretty wasted. both pillars are torn at the top, and barely holding on at the bottom. I've been thinking of some things to do.

My most prominent idea is to reshape and reinforce the entire spoiler with fiber glass and possibley steel.

I'm also thinking about forming the areas where the fog lights go to accomodate for new ones, sonce the stock ones are broken.

Some two part epoxy should work, look for something made for plastics. I have some super strong stuff, but my dad owns a body shop :p I am going to re-enforce mine with a piece of steel that I will glue in there, and will hold the pillars up when I reinstall it. I'll post some pictures.
